WTE Ford Transit Connect.

We have recently taken delivery of six new Ford Transit Connect vans to add to our existing fleet. The image shows the last three vehicles after completion of fit out and livery before being allocated to our personnel. We chose the Connect primarily for its reliability, with more than a dozen of these already in the fleet and some having driven more than 350,000Km. It was the ideal choice, given the local road network and site tracks we travel on throughout Ireland and the UK. This is a testament to the durability of this model.

Drivetrain Splitting Tool.

Taking delivery of our new Drivetrain Splitting Tool from PHL Hydraulics Ltd. A special word of thanks to Pat Ward, Noel Fallon and their team in Carlow for supporting us with the fabrication of this equipment.

Several people in WTE contributed to the design and development process including Jordon, Jack and Aaron. Thanks for your efforts!

This tool will form an integral part of our extensive range of MCE equipment and will enhance project delivery & performance.

Hyndburn windfarm

Hyndburn windfarm.

WTE were contracted to dismantle a fire-damaged turbine for Deutsche Windtechnik at Hyndburn windfarm; the first image shows the rotor being dismantled in February and the second shows the turbine being reinstalled in the first week of May. Our scope of work included cranes and mechanical services, blade disposal, tower reconditioning and full reinstall. The most challenging aspect was, of course, the preparation and dismantling works; these works were completed in a carefully managed manner within limited weather windows. Well done to all concerned.
